Everywhere I went in Manhattan smelled weed smoke. Even more so than when I was there in 23. Saw a dozen or so people smoking joints on the street.

Apparently the law is you can smoke outside like you can with a cigarette.

The small battles add up and those on the streets now should be commended. Maybe the thing that begins us collectively standing up to this hasn’t been invented yet.

We must normalize saying “who pays for that?” When it comes to military spending.

Got sick. Thankfully it wasn’t Covid. It still took me out for about 4 days though.

I feel a lot of us are just sitting on the sidelines wondering what will the final straw will be.

So weird having to work to survive.

If someone keeps telling you one thing, then it turns out it’s a completely different thing, that someone can be called a liar. Or at least say this person is continually wrong, and continually question their every word.

Taking pictures and making videos is a fun hobby. It’s weird when you remember people can see it.

Watching football this evening and there was a “join ice” commercial. I feel maybe football watching should be stopping soon.

Painting a guitar. This is two coats in, I think I’m going to put 10 on.

Guitar hanging and covered in blue sparkle paint.

The sunrise this morning

Sun rising on the horizon cover on the corner by a building

Looking at all of this and just wondering what am I doing?

I wish I could make money making videos and taking pictures. I don’t, but I still really truly enjoy the process so I just keep creating.

Watching the last pieces crumble from the inside is not the position to be in but here we are.

Violence is not the answer is the easy answer. But tell that to the armed forces and police first.

It’s impossible out here now. Humans pride themselves on being able to adapt, but there should be known agreed upon limits to what we accept.

I saw a hummingbird today. Glad I bought a new feeder.

Maybe we try doing something through commerce. maybe every time there’s a mass shooting the next day we make a promise not to spend a dime.

There was a mass shooting today. We should never become numb to it.

If it can be snapped this quickly, then what was it to begin with?
